Do not open to read your recommendation letters because all recommendation letters are required to be confidential only between the issuer and the internship program organiser. Therefore keep your letters secret and don’t tamper with it so that it doesn’t get rejected thereby making your application to be rejected.

Note recommendation letters are required to make an application submit. You may wish to pursue your application until you have gotten your letter. If you have one letter, it may be accepted. It is not a must to have two letters.

Applicant is required to have her international Passport read for the application. Applicants shall submit his or her international passport number. Applicants shall also scan and upload the data page of his or her international passport during the application.

Students applicants for this internship who are outside of Japan shall make that their valid passport for immediate travelling to and fro Japan. Students applicants who do not have their passport at the time of application may proceed to upload their government issued Identity card, however upon successfully application and such a student applicant is selected to be part of the internship, the student shall be required to have his or her passport because this is going to be required for your travels to Japan or any other location during the internship period.

Another document is the applicant’s Photo. Make sure to get a clean photo to be uploaded during your application. Make sure your photo is a recent photo and very sharp, taken with a quality camera. The photo must show your face very clean and your shoulder.

Another document is the applicant’s language proficiency score/certificate. If you have obtained your English Proficiency Score, you can submit that in your application, uploading your language proficiency assignment will strengthen your internship application.

Eligibility Requirements for the OIST Research Internship Program
