(2) Tuition fee:

This scholarship covers school fee waiver for tuition and covers basic textbooks. Cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curriculum will handled by the students themselves. Application Requirements for the GSCAAS Scholarships.
Required status of applicants: applicants shall have to recognised as non citizen of China and also very importantly be;
Healthy and willing to abide by the Chinese laws and decrees
Applicants shall conform to the education and age requirements as follows:
(a). Master’s programs shal holds a Bachelor’s degree and is under the age of 35 years;
(b). Doctoral programs shall holds a Master’s degree and is under the age of 40 years;
(c). General Scholar shall has at least two years’ undergraduate studies and is under the age of 45;
(d). Senior Scholar shall holds a Master’s or higher degree, or has an academic title of associate professor or higher, and is under the age of 50.
Students shall have Proficiency in English and or Chinese proficiency.
Application Documents for the GSCAAS Scholarship. Applicants to this scholarship shall submit comolete documents required forvthe scholarhsip. The submission is done via the online application system, applicants are not required to submit through emails, so take notice of this. Application Form for Study in CAAS-202. Students must submit application form
When submitting application form, students are required to fill in the GSCAAS online application system to make such submission.
On the Part II of the Form when filling, you are to leave that part blank, do not fill anything there, because the part II is made to be filled in by the applicant’s supervisor and host institution when applicants is selected for an offer and officially refered to the institute for onward.

Photocopy of applicants passport with at least 2 years’ validity on the passport, only the personal information page is needed
Notarized highest diploma. This is for diploma holders, prospective diploma winners shqll submit official proof of student status by their current school. NOTE very importantly that Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
Copies of academic transcripts from first to last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if students is opting for PhD), and doctoral programs (if student has taken a PhD before) shall be provided. These transcripts must have been issued and sealed by the attended university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department. They can be in Chinese or English, but the transcripts must be attached with notarized English translations if the transcript are in foreign languages other than English;
Two reference letters from two Professors or experts with equal titles in related fields;
CV of individual applicants
Research proposal (no less than 1000 characters or words.

Language Proficiency is required, here are the requirements: The English Language Certificate; or score reports of TOEFL, IELTS, CEFR, etc.; or score reports of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) shall be submitted by the applicants.
Photocopies of degree thesis abstract, complete thesis needed if the thesis was written in English, and abstracts of maximum 5 representative academic papers (full papers are better preferred), also note that students are not required to submit unpublished papers, so do not submit the photocopies of unpublished papers.
Students shall also submit a No Objection Certificate issued by the current employer
What this means that stuends should indicate that the current employer has no objection towards the student applying for the scholarship, and the student’s study leave will be granted accordingly
Foreigner Physical Examination Form is another document students shall submit. So this health certification is very important part of the studentdocuments.
Applicants should take health examination in the hospitals designated by the Chinese Embassy, qnd the test to take shall includes Blood Test.
The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. There should not be any missing record, as an Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants shall be invalid. Applicants should take the medical examination test not more than 6 months to the submission date of the applicant.
Acceptance letter. This an optional document. If you are an to the scholarship and you have an acceptance letter from CAAS professors, you should submit same as that is an added advantage.
Non-criminal record report this is another very important documents applicantsmust obtain and submit. An applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, this no criminal record document has validity period of 6 months to the submission date of the scholarship application. Application Deadline for the GSCAAS Scholarship.
Carefulky study this deadline as it very important, any submission made after the deadline shall not be reviewed. Applicants who are applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) shall submit application documents by March 31st, and the Graduate School of CAAS Scholarship (GSCAAS) must submit application documents by April 30th.

Visa Application for applicants for the GSCAAS Scholarship

And also use Foreigner Physical Examination Form (original copy and photocopy) and valid passport to apply for the Chinese visa, this would fasten your visa application. The medical examination results are valid only for six months therefor, applicants should apply for the Chinese visa withinthis period of validation.
Registration for the GSCAAS
Note this that International students must register with GSCAAS at the time specified in the Admission Notice, and shall use documents I have lised above for their Visa application processes. Duration of Study and Degree Conferral for the GSCAAS Scholarships.
The normal duration of study for both Master’s and Doctoral degrees is three years of studies. And in this three years certificates of graduation and degrees certificates shall be awarded to graduatiants who have met the requirements of graduation and degree conferral.
Students whose instruction language are Chinese, shall reach HSK Level 5 before they can apply for the graduation; students whose instruction language are English, should reach HSK Level 3 before they can apply for the graduation.
