Eligibility Criteria for the CSC Scholarship
First you need to be eligible to successfully applly for this scholarship. This scholarship is for International students students that want to study in China. Read below the eligible rules.
(1) Applicant must be a Non-Chinese citizen and be holding a valid country’s passport, in accordance with the provisions of Document No. 12 [2020] issued by the Ministry of Education;
(2) Applicant must be In good physical and mental health, friendly toward China, and must not have any history of drug abuse and no criminal record;
(3) For Masters degree programs, applicants for master’s degree programs should have a bachelor’s degree well obtained and, have excellent academic performance in the bachelor’sdegree, and must be under the age of 35.
(4) For doctorates degree programs, applicants for doctoral degree programs must hold a master’s degree, have excellent academic performance, and be under the age of 40.
(5) Applicants for the CSC Scholarship generally must possess proficient Chinese or English language skills, both masters and PhD applicants. The language requirements for each program are subject to: 2026 Zhejiang Normal University Program Catalogue for International Students.
What the CSC Scholarship Covers
The CSC Scholarship covers the full tuition fees, covers on-campus accommodation, gives monthly stipends, and gives 800 RMB comprehensive medical insurance to Scholars.
It is wise to note that according to regulations put in place by the Ministry of Education of China, all international students studying in China are mandated to purchase comprehensive medical insurance within mainland China as a mandatory requirement for school registration. Students should visit www.campuschina.org, and choose Online Application, from the menu and then create a new student account if you don’t already have students account, and begin to filling in the required information.in the provided columns.
Students should make sure to read the Application Instructions on the instruction page very carefully before starting this you will send a correct application which would increase your chances. Select Type B and enter the Agency Number for Zhejiang Normal University.

Applicants who pass the preliminary review will receive an email notification and must complete the online application on the ZJNU website before February 28, 2026.
Required Application Documents
1) First is Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English)

3) Third thing to so is to notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
4) Another thing ia academic transcripts from the undergraduate program onwards. Students should obtain copies of academic records from first to last semester during their undergraduate in their previous bachelor’s degree, for mssters aspirants. While for doctoral programs shall be provided for processing of the scholarshipapplication. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department. These transcripts can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.
5) Another thing is the language qualification certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants for other language-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificates according to the university’s requirements, like IELTS, TOFEL or Duolingo report.
6) Pre-admission materials. Doctoral applicants shall submit a Supervisor Acceptance Letter. This is important for the application to be successful.
7) A study plan proposal. A study plan written in Chinese or English shall be from 1,000 characters or words and above; the proposal of a doctoral student shall be signed by the applicant’s Chinese supervisor. The content should include personal background, academic experience, research achievements, study objectives, and research proposal.
8) Recommendation letters. Students shall provide two letters of recommendation eqch written only in Chinese or English language from a professor or associate professor and should be submitted alongside application. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or the exchange between universities both in China and abroad.
9) Example of art. To apply for majors related to art or design, applicants could submit their own works through “Example of Art/Other Supporting Documents” in the system. Applicants could also provide such materials to the applied universities directly in other ways.
10) Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.
11) A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant). The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examination, as the result is valid for only 6 months.
12) Applicants must have Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall also submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, certificates should be issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
