About the Programme
Gender equality remains one of the key drivers of sustainable development. This intensive three-day programme aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals working across Asia and Europe by providing practical tools and policy insights that promote women’s leadership and participation.
Around 20 participants from eligible ASEM partner countries will be selected to join the in-person training, where they will exchange ideas, learn from experts, and develop strategies that can be implemented within their own organizations and communities.
Programme Objectives
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of:
Structural and social barriers limiting women’s participation
Gender analysis and gender-sensitive policymaking
Gender-responsive budgeting and monitoring methods
Use of gender-disaggregated data for decision-making
Strategies for mainstreaming gender equality in institutions

The programme also encourages participants to create practical action plans that can be applied in their professional environments.

Note: Consultants and students without relevant professional experience are not eligible to apply.
